Born karen Ann Smith to the late James and Sheila Smith (Rogers) in Norwalk,CT and grew up in New Milford, CT. Karen passed away at home home with loved ones.Karen was previously deceased by her brother William “Billy” Rogers in 2012 and leaves behind her 3 children Matthew Buchta , Jason Buchta (Lauren Buchta) and Elizabeth Lethbridge her granddaughter Irie, siblings Vicki Tapia, Jane Barillaro (Karl Barillaro) James (Jimmy) Smith (Jamie Smith) many nieces and nephews along with their children as well as her significant other Frank Reda and her precious dog Little Guy. Karen was a beloved waitress at the Chuckwagon Restaurant of Marbledale,CT for many years. Karen enjoyed spending time with her loved ones, good food, thrifting, doing yard work and playing with her dog in warm weather she will be remembered for her quirks, sense of humor and kind heart. Donations can be made to Saint Andrews Episcopal church 247 New Milford Turnpike, New Preston, CT 06777 services will be held at Saint Andrews on Sunday May 21st at 1 pm.
