Karen Keefe Briggs, aged 82, passed away on August 20, 2024 from complications due to Alzheimer’s Disease.

Karen was born in Rochester, New York on December 2, 1941. She grew up in LeRoy, New York, completed her undergraduate studies at Nazareth College and later earned a Master’s in Education from SUNY Geneseo. She went on to teach Kindergarten for over 30 years at multiple schools in the Rochester area.

Karen was preceded in death by her parents, William and Mary Keefe, and her beloved husband, Richard Allan Briggs. She is survived by her daughter, Mary Briggs (George Watson), son, Robert Briggs, and grandchildren, Abigail and John  (Jack) Watson.

A funeral mass will be held in Karen’s honor at St. Joseph's Church in Penfield, New York, on Monday, October 14th at 2:00 p.m.. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the Alzheimer's Association.
