Kang's obituary
It is with profound sorrow that we announce the passing of Mr. Kang Thao, 89, who went to be with the Lord on November 14, 2023. Born in Laos, 1934, to parents Chai Vang Thao and Shoua Her, he received an education at an early age where he learned the importance and value of an education. In April of 1959, he married his wife, Cho Chang.
As the fighting during the Vietnam war spread to Laos, he served as a medic briefly within the local military under the command of General Vang Pao. In 1979, Kang and his family fled to Thailand to escape war. In 1981, Kang immigrated to Wausau, Wisconsin.
Kang excelled at hunting and fishing. The wisdom he provided, and the love he had for his family and the people who knew him were among his most admired qualities. His influence will continue to inspire those who knew him. During this deeply sorrowful time, we fondly remember Kang for his enduring love, strength, and resilience. May he rest in peace.
He is survived by his sons, Thai and Vue, his four daughters, Maineng, Yang, Zoa, and Phoua, and his 25 grandchildren.
Services will be held at the Good Hope Center in Milwaukee, WI on January 6th, 2024 through January 8th, 2024.
