Kailey's obituary
Kailey was the most kind, generous person and was the very definition of love. She had an amazing way of accepting and embracing people regardless of who they were. Her bright spirit brought a lightness to every place she went, filling the room and people around her with warmth. Her desire to belong and enjoy life was often expressed as compassion towards others, whether it was lending an ear, supporting shoulder, a warm hug or friendship to anyone who needed it-whether an old friend or a complete stranger. Her faith was frequently shared with others through her hopeful outlook, always looking for the best in them and giving people a belief in themselves and the possibility of a brighter tomorrow.
The love for others that she developed in her early years served her well as she took on her most treasured role in life: mother to Gianna Hope. She considered Gianna her greatest blessing and longed for every moment they could spend together. They shared hours joking, playing their favorite games, and had a special ability to immerse themselves in silliness as evidenced by the hours of laughter they enjoyed together. Their favorite activities including crafts, painting, coloring, making gifts for others or just snuggling together watching tv-treasuring being with each other. Kailey’s love for all animals was shared with Gianna too, and their love for space often resulted in star gazing from the porch, peering into the nighttime sky.
Those who remember Kailey can probably picture her wearing her favorite New England Patriots attire of the moment-sweatshirts, jerseys, or her knit cap and one of her favorite Christmas gifts recently experienced was cheering on the Patriots with her partner Shawn in Foxboro at the stadium.
Kailey was predeceased by her beloved father William S Hughes, cousin Cassandra Guerrini, and her great grandmother Muriel Scaldini. Also missing her are numerous aunts, uncles, cousins, friends and two of her special little friends who she adored James and Maddox.
