Kaduland's obituary
Kay Robinson, a resilient and fiercely compassionate spirit, passed away peacefully in Dallas, Texas. She was 54 years old.
Kay was a true Southern lady — gracious, well-mannered, and steadfast in her convictions. She was known for her deep faith, her unwavering loyalty to family, and her boundless ability to listen and befriend anyone she met. Kay never encountered a stranger. She carried an uncommon compassion, always willing to share what she had, and was a genuine friend to the friendless.
Throughout her life, Kay battled and overcame extraordinary health challenges with incredible perseverance and strength. Her fighting spirit, humor, and love for laughter remained her guiding lights until the very end.
Born in Dallas, and raised between Dallas and Tyler, Texas, Kay attended Rice Elementary, Hogg Middle School, and John Tyler High School. She later continued her education at Tyler Junior College. Before her illness began at the age of 28, Kay worked in both retail and security for a variety of companies, making a mark with her reliability and her heart for service.
Her spiritual journey began at Sunshine Missionary Baptist Church and Pleasant Hill Baptist Church in Tyler, and later continued at New Room Community Church in Dallas.
Kay is survived by her devoted mother, Bernice Robinson; her brothers, Keith Robinson (Addison Witt) and Kelvin Robinson; and her loving aunts, Cathy Jackson, Martha Neal, Audrey L. Mitchell, and Gloria Robinson, and uncle Gary Robinson. She is preceded in death by her grandparents, Burnice and Irene Robinson; her father, Sam Phillips; and her uncles, Robert Robinson, Marvin Robinson, and J.W. Williams.
A memorial service to honor and celebrate Kay’s life will be held on Saturday, May 3rd, 2025, at 1:00 PM at Sunshine Missionary Baptist Church in Tyler, Texas.
Instead of flowers, those wishing to support the family may purchase a book authored by her brother at www.siraddisonwitt.com. Proceeds will help defray funeral and related expenses.
Kay’s indomitable spirit, her laughter, and her boundless love will forever remain in the hearts of those blessed to know her.
