Max and I were college friends, and we shared a lot of laughs. His memory will always bring a smile to my face.
I've known Max since little league soccer and even then I realized that athletics weren't his thing, but it wasn't until high school when I truly became friends with Kevin "Max" Murphy. So many weekends hanging out, driving around the island. When he got that Explorer you couldn't tell him nothing including going when you needed him to go a little faster than the posted speed limit. I remember how happy he was when he got into Notre Dame. After his visit you would've thought that he had just gone to heaven. He was part of a crew that helped me get through my final years of high school. He also introduced me to whole new side of music which included Areosmith and Tom Petty and for that I will forever be grateful. Thank you for being a smart ass, always having something to say about everything and always bringing a chuckle. You will truly be missed my friend. I love you. RIP.

I met Max probably 2003 ish when he was dating Karen. He lived in Jersey City and I lived in Hoboken. I was devastated to hear from another college friend that Max had passed. Gone way too soon. He will be missed for sure.

Nothing like celebrating New Years with this amazing guy. Best shot Out of all the amazing memories over the years with this awesome guy. 😔
A farewell far too soon. We'll miss you and celebrate our love for you always. No man is an island and true, the world is less for having lost you, but far richer are we whom you called friend. You made your mark, Maxwell, and we'll never be the same.
I'm so very sorry and sad about Max's passing. Way too young. He was funny, intelligent, crazy and gentle. All in one. I pray for his family and especially his girls because its never easy for the children. Rest in peace Max. You will always be remembered.

I remember my cousin Max when he was just a boy. "Maxie" to his wonderful mother Ruth and "Mr. Swell" to his fabulous dad, Jimmy, he was a great cousin and friend to me. He was extremely smart, funny, jovial, and as original as they come, even as a young boy. We didn't see each other that often as adults, but every time we did, he always maintained those same endearing qualities he had as a boy. I'll miss my cousin and friend, but will never forget him.
