Cokie's obituary

Cocona was a Proud First Generation Greek American. She was Born in Lancaster PA. 29 Dec 1943. She entered into the glory of God on February 22, 2024 surrounded by her loving family.

Her Beloved Parents were Thomas N. and Mary Mastros Patinos from the Aegean Island of Kos, Greece.

She was Preceded in death by her Exemplary Brother, Nicholas T. Patinos, Wheaton, IL.

She is survived by her Beloved Daughter, Maria K. Serras and Beloved Grandson, Nicholas T. Serras. In addition she has many loved nieces, nephews, great and great-great nieces and nephews.

Most importantly she had a deeply-held Christian faith. In addition to her love of Christ she loved her Beloved Fournaris Patinos Family. Cocona was a member of the Greek Orthodox Church of the Annunciation in Lancaster, PA where she taught Sunday School for eight years before she married. Growing up at Annunciation Greek Orthodox Church in Lancaster, PA she participated in all the youth activities including Choir and Goya. Cocona proudly served her Country in her over 40 year exemplary career with various contractors of the Department of Defense. Among her standout assignments were initially with the Department of the Navy, Naval Air Development Center, Warminster, PA. Subsequently she was recruited by Lockheed Aeronautical Systems Company and relocated to Burbank, CA. and then Edwards Air Force Base in Edwards, CA in support of Operational Flight Test Programs. She lived in Valencia, CA, Santa Clarita Valley for over 40 years.

Cocona graduated from JP McCaskey High School - majored in Elementary Education and Special Education at Millersville Teachers College in Millersville, PA and majored in Computer Science at Maxwell Institute/Gwynedd Mercy College in Gwynedd Valley, PA

Cocona attributed her Many Blessings in her life to the Grace, Strength and Glory of God.
