Background
The pain of Justin's sudden loss is profound and overwhelming and sharing this tragic news is hard for all involved.
He was the kindest and most patient person anyone could know. His gentle nature, coupled with his remarkable sense of humor and artistic brilliance, left an indelible mark on everyone who had the privilege of knowing him. Justin's music, available on iTunes and YouTube (Double Kross is his artist name), showcases his creative spirit and talent.
Proudly calling himself a "mama's boy," Justin cherished that relationship. One of the fondest memories shared by his loving mother is the moments he would ask for his hair to be braided. This often meant a full routine of washing and blow-drying his hair, an intimate and loving ritual that highlighted their close bond.
Each morning brings a fresh wave of disbelief, a yearning for a chance to relive his final days, and a hope that this painful reality is just a bad dream. The sound of his footsteps and his cheerful "good morning, mom" is deeply missed.
She fondly nicknamed him "Buddy" because he truly was her buddy in life. Justin taught her so much about life, often offering new perspectives and wisdom. In many ways, he was the teacher and she was the grasshopper, learning from his insights and guidance. Even now, in these dark days, his teachings continue to guide her.
His love for his siblings was unmatched and unbreakable. The relationship he had with his nephew, Kaleb, was so much fun to watch that we called him Fruncle (Friend + Uncle). No one mattered to Kaleb when his Fruncle Justin was around.
As we prepare for Justin's Celebration of Life, we invite all who knew him to join us in honoring his memory. Details will be shared on this page, and in lieu of flowers, donations are welcome and suggested. These contributions will support the family's needs during this extremely difficult time and will ultimately help to establish a nonprofit organization in Justin's memory.
Justin had a dream of becoming a Community Outreach Worker, and in his honor, we are committed to making that dream a reality. By establishing this organization, we will continue his legacy of kindness and support for others.
The reality of this situation leaves a void that feels impossible to fill.
Thank you for your love, prayers, and support during this incredibly challenging time. Justin's light will continue to shine in the hearts of all who knew him. Contribute
