Justin's obituary
It is with profound sorrow that we announce the passing of Justin "Juice" Lawrence, beloved father, ex-husband, and friend. Born on March 23, 1971, Justin departed from our worldly bonds on October 10, 2023. Although he was also known as "Juice," he preferred the moniker Justin.
Justin is survived by his daughters, Justine and Kara Lawrence, and his ex-wife, Karen Lawrence. His loved ones will remember him fondly, often over his favorite foods - ice cream and steak, accompanied by his preferred drinks - Miller Lite High Life, black coffee, and sweet beverages.
With an enthusiastic love for music, Justin's favorites were too varied to list, but he held a particular fondness for Slayer and Metallica. He would often unwind by tuning into Animal Planet or diving into the world of comedy and psychological thrillers. A fan of the classics, his favorite movies included The Evil Dead, and his fondness for vintage games led him to enjoy anything Atari.
Justin was an ardent supporter of his home teams - the Detroit Lions and Tigers, and could often be found cheering them on at 3 Nicks Sportsbar, one of his favorite local hangout spots. He valued his community and was committed to his family's welfare and wellbeing.
Described as polite, charismatic, kind-hearted, and logical, Justin lived his life by the golden rule - to treat others as he wished to be treated. He was a man of intellect who achieved a Bachelor's degree in Political Science from the University of Michigan Dearborn. His professional journey included notable roles at COBO Hall in Detroit and significant contributions at Quicken Loans.
His legacy is one of kindness, assertiveness, motivation, and gratitude. He has left behind an indelible impression of love and dedication. As his daughter beautifully expressed, "I will miss my father every day for the rest of my life. But his presence in my life and the lessons he taught me will never be forgotten. I will always be the daughter he raised me to be, and will extend many of his lessons to my own family one day." Justin's good-natured spirit will continue to live on in the hearts of those who knew him.
