Justin Perry Garrett, Ripley native, died on January 1, 2024 at the age of 38.

Justin was the first-born child of Perry and Betty Garrett. He graduated from Ripley High School in 2003, and was a proud member of the 2003 Ripley High School AA Baseball State Championship team. He completed his B.S. in Business Administration from Middle Tennessee State University in 2008.

He loved hanging with friends, relaxing at the beach, and spending time with family, including his girlfriend Ashley and her children. He was known for his sense of humor and love of animals. He had a big heart and loved Jesus, who called him home when he passed peacefully after suffering a brief illness.

Mr. Garrett is survived by his father and mother, Perry and Betty Garrett; sister Elizabeth (Derek) Schaeffer; nephew, Locke Schaeffer (5); niece, Lucy Schaeffer (3), and many friends and family who will miss him dearly.

God saw you were getting weary, so He did what He thought best. He came and stood beside you and whispered, "Come and Rest." You bade no one a last farewell, not even a goodbye, you were gone before we knew it, and only God knows why.
