Jurgen's obituary

Jurgen Kirsch, 74, of Los Angeles, CA, passed away unexpectedly on August 18, 2025.

Jurgen was born on April 25, 1951 in Hanover, Germany. After moving to America, eventually to Southern California, Jurgen would be come to be called Karl, and find his truest love: the ocean. After graduating high school, he spent his non-surfing hours working jobs like construction (a skill taught to him by his father), opening Del Taco franchises, running a sandwich shop, and eventually working as the general manager of the Los Angeles Tennis Club where he met his wife, Nina. Karl and Nina raised their daughter Hannah while all living together at the Club for several years. Though the three of them have lived separately all over the world, they always found there ways back to one another, and were very close at the time of his passing.

Karl will be missed dearly.
