June Mari-Gras (nee Libertini), beloved mother of four children (Carl & Rachel Mari of Oregon, Nick & Sonia Mari of California, Kimberley & Mark Kennard of California, and Erin Grasberger of California) and grandmother of Luke Kennard and Veronica Mari, went to be in the arms of the Lord Jesus Christ on August 5, 2021. She passed peacefully, while in the presence of her children in a beautiful and sacred time. June was born in Lakewood, NJ on June 2, 1944 to Oscar and Esther Libertini and has one surviving brother, Joseph Libertini of Carlsbad, CA.
June was deeply loved by many friends and family, and she invested her very best into those whom she knew. Having studied special education, June served as a tutor and teacher and considered this her most rewarding role, second only to being a mother and grandmother. She was an insightful, lifelong learner with an avid love of nature and a keen sense of humor. Her inner and outer beauty brought light to everyone who knew her. She infused everything she did with joy, her artistic eye, and most of all, her love. She was an extraordinary mother, mother-in-law, grandmother, sister, and friend. June will be sorely missed by all who loved her. In the words of her favorite scripture, from Psalm 23, “Surely goodness and mercy shall follow me all the days of my life; and I will dwell in the house of the Lord forever.” 

Memorial Service will be held on Wednesday August 11, 2021; 3:30pm.
