Logan's obituary
June “Logan” Lamey Elizalde, age 48, passed away peacefully on October 13, 2025, surrounded by the love of her mother and brother. Born on January 9, 1977, in Biloxi, Mississippi, Logan spent most of her life along the beautiful Mississippi Gulf Coast, where her vibrant spirit and generous heart left a lasting impact on all who knew her.
Logan was known for her warmth, beauty, and boundless love. She had a unique way of making people feel seen, heard, and deeply loved—her presence was a gift to all who were lucky enough to share in her life.
She is survived by her beloved daughter, Juliahna Elizalde and son-n-law, Kyle Howell, and her cherished grandson, Hayden Howell. She also leaves behind her loving son, Jaxson Elizalde; her devoted mother, June Dunlap and stepfather, David Dunlap; and caring dad, Danny Jalanivich, who cherished her as his own, and stepmother, Teri Jalanivich; and her siblings, Lisa Hawkins, Barbi Jalanivich, and Daniel Jalanivich. Logan’s love extended to her sister-in-law, Megan Jalanivich; nieces, Hannah Bake and Kya Jalanivich; nephews, JonJon Hawkins and Tripp Jalanivich.
She is also survived by her grandmothers, Bettye Lamey (MawMaw), who she shared an unbreakable bond with, as if she was her own mother; and Barbara Applewhite (Gram), and is remembered fondly by her many aunts, uncles, and cousins in the Lamey, Applewhite, and Jalanivich families, who all loved her dearly.
Logan was preceded in death by her father, Dave Lamey, who welcomed her home with open arms; and her grandfathers, Pete Lamey (Pawpaw) and John Applewhite (Grandad).
Logan’s legacy is one of unconditional love, laughter, and fierce loyalty. She brought light into the lives of everyone she met and will be deeply missed, but her memory will live on in the hearts of those she touched.
A celebration of Logan’s life will be held on Saturday, October 25, 2025, at 2:00 PM, at Faith Christian Center, located at 1710 Government Street, Ocean Springs, MS 39564.
Friends and family are invited to gather, share memories, and honor the life of Logan—a life marked by love, light, and devotion to those she held dear.
The family suggests that in lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made by acts of kindness or in support of causes that reflect Logan’s generous spirit.
