June “Mary” Marie Klasen (Sherman) went to be with the Lord on Saturday April 4th, 2020 at the age of 63 at St. Mary’s Medical Center in Duluth, Minnesota.

A memorial service will be scheduled at a later date. Arrangements provided by Carroll Funeral Home, Deer River, MN.

June was born on July 23rd, 1956 in Cass Lake, MN to James and Julia (Smith) Sherman. She graduated from Bemidji High School in 1974. She was married to John H. Klasen III in 1976. She attended Bemidji Votech where she studied auto body. She spent most of her life being a mother and caretaker.

She enjoyed beading, crafts, sewing and working on her sudoku puzzles. Most of all, she enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren. June was well known for being generous and kind, always wanting to help others.

June is survived by her children Michael Sherman, John Klasen IV, Christopher Klasen and Twila (Luke) Jesso; siblings Donald Sherman (Andrea Dolney), Eugene Sherman and Carol Goggleye; grandchildren Kristina Kallio, Gage Klasen, Valarie Klasen, Nora Jesso, Asher Jesso and Lucy Jesso; special family Pamela ( Barckholtz, Amy Hofmeister and Brian (Debbie) Hofmeister; and numerous cousins, nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, and close friends.

She was preceded in death by her mother Julia Ann Sherman (Smith) and her father James Bruce Sherman. Siblings David Sherman, Barbara Sylvander, James Sherman, Earl Sherman, Ronald Sherman, Bruce Sherman and infant Robert Sherman.
