In lieu of flowers

Please consider a contribution to Utah Association for the Education of Young Children.

Background

June loved children. She and her husband, Lane, raised 4 kids of their own, which expanded into 8 grandchildren, 25 great-grandchildren, and 1 great-great-grandchild. June served as a Primary Counselor in her LDS Church ward while her children were young. For many years, June taught pre-school children at Young-World Preschool in Bountiful, Utah and later she thrived and loved working to care for new born babies at KinderCare Pre-school in North Salt Lake, Utah. Mom loved her grown children and she never tired of spending time with her younger grand and great grandchildren. She had endless patience for teaching children basic skills, always had a big smile whenever children were present, and talked often about her experiences of being an educator for young children, especially the babies who were her pride and joy. June was the perfect mother to her family, and she was the perfect mother-away-from-home to all the children she cared for at pre-school during the day.

Donations will be utilized to help create a community where every child's potential is realized, to engage and inspire our early childhood professionals through scholarships that further their early childhood teaching career, and to provide leadership and professional development that improves the classrooms where young children learn.

Thank you for helping us keep June's legacy alive through a donation in her honor.
