David & I met Barbra & Jules at least 15 plus yrs ago. We instantly connected between our lifestyles and our beliefs. We so enjoyed many conversations and dinners together. I once told Barbara you and Jules are the perfect couple and a perfect picture of what a couple looks like in retirement. We have great memories of a long lasting friendship. And look forward to many more years of friendship with Barbara. I would love and prayers and friendship will always be.
Jules was a thoughtful and respected traveler on the road of life—especially on the Jesus’ way.  His faith, and hope, and love are an inspiration.  Our prayers for the entire family.
I'm so sorry for your loss. I worked with Jules at LLBean for many years. We mostly talked by phone as I was in a different building taking care of work he needed done for customers. I loved talking to him on the phone and getting to know him over the years. I learned many things over the years from him by asking. He will always have a special place in my heart.

Barbara, Perry, Jonah, and Alden --I saw Jules' obituary in the Press Herald -- I'm so sorry for your great loss. Jules was a dedicated (and incredibly patient) Sunday School teacher at Freeport First Baptist in my teen years. Whatever possessed him to take on that role is a mystery, but he was unflappable. I admire him for it to this day. You're in my prayers -- deepest condolences to you all, the rest of your family, and everyone who loved Jules.
A beautiful tribute for a wonderful man & neighbor.  What a full life he lead. I'll miss his greeting on my walks on the beach and all around Ocean Park.

Unbeknownst to me (or Barbara or Jules) Thurs Oct. 24 was to be Jules' last day on this earth. He ate a Reuben sandwich (one of his favorites) and we went out on a daily walk in the amazing beauty of an October day in Maine. Jules was warmly greeted by any number of neighbors and the joy of their choice to live in Old Orchard beach in proximity to the water was clearly evident. Jules was perfectly content and comfortable despite the bumps in the road. His comfort was in large part due to the tireless attentions of Barbara who daily was at this side throughout his illness. When I left, I once again stated, "When I come to see you both, I always leave feeling as if I have witnessed an amazing love story." You are missed Jules, but the new body you have in your new home is a wonder in which to marvel.

Love, Meredith Kerr

What a beautifully written acknowledgment of his life, love, faith and service.  He will be fondly remembered at OP Meadows and missed on the roads and paths of Ocean Park, may he rest in peace🙏
