Juliet's obituary
Juliet Capulet, thirteen, passed away on Friday, July 11, 1827, in Verona. She presumably died of suicide by a dagger, but investigations show that poison was also found on her lips.
Juliet Capulet was born in Verona, Italy to Lord Capulet and Lady Capulet. Juliet was supposed to be marrying her cousin, Paris but she was secretly already married to Romeo Montague. Her parents did not know of this so they tried to force her into marrying Paris.
Romeo and Juliet met and fell in love at first sight at a costume party in the Capulet's house. This party was supposed to be a way for her to meet her husband to be but instead, she fell in love with Romeo Montague.
The next time Romeo and Juliet saw each other Friar Lawrence married them secretly. Her family was still trying to get her to marry Paris, so she consulted with Friar Lawrence and he gave her a potion to make her appear dead for 48 hours so she would be in the clear from marrying Paris.
Everyone, including Romeo, believed Juliet was dead so, he poisoned himself in the Capulet crypt. When she woke up and found Romeo dead, she was so filled with grief that she ran his dagger through her.
Romeo and Juliet's death overall ended the feud between the constantly warring families.
