Julie was the nurse I would rely on to do the right thing for the patient, always. She was a fierce advocate for the underserved and was always looking to improve not just her patients but her coworkers and herself. She made me strive to be better.

Julie was a childhood friend of our daughter Leigh and we often spent birthdays together when they were small.  Betty and I  became friends and although the girls lost touch with one another over the years, we were always glad to hear from the family.  Our thoughts are with Betty, Wendy and Julie's boys!

We are very saddened by the loss of Julie. What a model of energy and determination. Her determination to live fully is an inspiration to all of us as is her quest for education and helping people as a registered Nurse. To all the family from James and Donna Thomas with deepest love and sympathy.
