Julie's obituary
Julie Veronica Ross Myers, age 66, passed away on June 8, 2022. She was born on May 18, 1956, in
Miami where she resided almost all her life. She was a graduate of Carrollton School of the Sacred Heart
where she was the class president in 1970. She received her bachelor of arts in sociology from Duke
University, and she attained a postgraduate degree in fine arts from the California College of the arts.
Julie was a copywriter for a number of highly respected advertising agencies in South Florida for more
than three decades writing copy for many large domestic and global companies. In recent years she
continued her work with her own business, Miami Writer LLC, with a strong emphasis on branding.
During her career, Julie earned dozens of national and international awards in her field including the
prestigious CLIO and numerous ADDYs, ARDAs, and HSMAIs.
Julie was the eldest daughter of H. J. Ross and Donna Guilfoyle Ross. Julie was preceded in death
by her three sisters Barbara Gaynelle Ross, Suzanne Mary Ross, and Sally Frances Ross Muccio (Craig V.
Muccio). She is survived by her niece Donna Irene Muccio, her stepmother Audrey Ross Culbertson
(William W. Culbertson, MD), her stepsister Dr. Melissa Jackson Loree (Lee F. Loree IV), and many first
cousins on her father's side.
Julie was laid to rest at Sea Pines Memorial Gardens in Edgewater, Florida USA
