Julie's obituary
On the 14th of January, 2025 Heaven gained one AMAZING angel. Julia Diann Welshone was born in Mansfield , Ohio on the 28th of February 1957 . She was raised by Frances Mullins and Thomas Kimsey and moved to a horse farm in Virginia at a young age. She loved to recount stories of growing up in the "holler" and would do so with a "hillbilly" accent. Anyone within earshot would be laughing so hard they might pee themselves. Those who knew her, knew that humor was one of her many super powers. Others include, but not limited to, always making folks feel welcome and cared for, safe, and that if needed, she had your back and would go out of her way to make it known.
In addition to having an intense love for Disney, her house was decorated in over-the-top style for both Halloween and Christmas, her two favorite times of the year. She was an accomplished artist that hand painted windows and holiday decorations , ambidextrous, and LOVED her garden. She could name every flower and herb in it and always called it her "Happy Place".
Above all, she loved her family. She is survived by her husband Douglas Muhle, daughter Jaime Muhle, daughter Katelyn Muhle, son Joshua Muhle and daughter in law Jeni Muhle. The three most treasured and adored grandkids who referred to her as "LALA" Rylee, Bowen, and Linnea were the lights of her life.
Julie's TMCC family of 30 years spanned most of the college community. She took joy and pride in her work and one would be hard pressed to find a program or area that her influence was absent from in some way. She accomplished more things for the dental programs than can be listed here. Her community contacts and service to the dental industry are also too numerous to mention. Being the most humble of humans, she would not want anything more than for you to love and appreciate your family and friends while you can.
The Northern Nevada Dental Society and Northern Nevada Dental Health Programs have renamed their scholarship endowment to the Julie Muhle Memorial Scholarship Fund. If you feel compelled, we request that donations be made to the Julie Muhle scholarship fund that will carry on her legacy with future dental assisting students.
