Julie's obituary
Julie Lynn Molina, 56, of Port Charlotte, Florida, passed away peacefully on October 28, 2025, surrounded in love by her family, following complications of lupus.
Born in White Plains, New York, to Linda and the late Herman Molina, Julie became a Florida resident in 1990, where she raised her three children: Gabriella Salinas of Port Charlotte, Alex Salinas of Tampa, and Cory Elijah of North Port.
Julie devoted her life to being a loving mother and was active in her community through her work with Busy Bees at Murdock Baptist Church. She gave her time and talent quilting and crocheting blankets for foster children and was a constant source of support for her children’s school activities—especially the Pride of Port Charlotte Marching Band and the music program, which she cherished deeply. She was immensely proud of her children and their many accomplishments.
Julie was an artist at heart. She loved to create in many mediums, was known as a phenomenal baker, and excelled in cross stitch and crochet. Her creativity, humor, and kindness touched countless lives and left behind lasting memories of warmth and care.
She is survived by her three children, Gabriella and her husband Zach, Alex and his wife Courtney, and Cory and his fiancée Christina; her beloved granddaughter, Olivia; her mother, Linda Molina; and her cherished dog, Schnitzel. She is also survived by many loving family members throughout the Northeast and Florida. Julie was preceded in death by her father, Herman Molina.
To honor Julie’s memory, her family asks that donations be made to your local animal shelter, food pantry, or community project—reflecting her lifelong generosity and compassion.
“God saw you getting tired, and a cure was not to be,
So He put His arms around you and whispered, ‘Come to Me.’
With tearful eyes we watched you and saw you pass away,
And although we love you dearly, we could not make you stay.
A golden heart stopped beating, hard-working hands at rest.
God broke our hearts to prove to us—He only takes the best.”
