It is with deep sorrow that we announce the passiong of our beloved, Julie Goens. Her illness (diabetes) got the best of her, a few days after Mother's day.

Julie Darlene Goens, Age 50, resided in Bedford IN, passed away on May 14th of 2025, loosing her battle with Diabetes. She was proceeded in death by her father, Glen Caves.

On March 17th, 1975, Julie was born to Glen & Grace Caves, IN. Julie didn't speak much about her childhood, she spent most of her teen years with her cousin Joy Henderson, inseparable.

Once Julie has graduated Eastern Greene high school in 1993, she studied at Ivy Tech, unfortunately not graduating, choosing to start her new chapter in life instead.

Julie was married twice, divorced with Doug Skinner, and in process of divorce with Jason Goens.

Somewhere in the middle, she had 5 children: Shade, Brianna, Jacob, Lane and Luke; and two grandchildren. Julie was a believer, always praying and going to church when she can.

Julie spent most of her lifetime doing Home Healthcare Aide, one of her clients being her best friend, Pamela Hayse, being there for Julie when she needed a shoulder to cry on. Julie often lived alone, her children and close family visiting when they can, she was the most independent woman. Her wings were ready but our hearts were not.

Julie Goens is survived by her sister Anna Whiting; her mother Grace Caves; her children Shade, Brianna, Jacob, Lane, and Luke; and her grandchildren.

The family has decided no funeral/viewing services will be held, as it is personal.
