Julie's obituary

Julie Ferren, 68, of Middleton WI, passed away comfortably in her sleep early in the morning, on Thursday, June 23, 2022. Julie was born August 12,1953 to William and Catherine Roberts in Chicago, IL. Julie excelled in school and graduated from the University of Illinois - Champaign-Urbana, with a bachelor's degree in Education.

Julie married her "first husband" (as she often playfully referred to him) Andrew Ferren on October 21, 1978 in Deerfield, IL and they continued their love story uninterrupted for the next 43 years together. Julie loved to cheer on her beloved Cubs and was no stranger to the backstretch of Arlington Park (and others for that matter!), enjoying the races and sharing her knowledge and opinions, yet made it a point to never miss track meets, games, and events despite plenty to juggle.

Julie is preceded in death by her parents William & Catherine, and her brother Eddie Roberts, cousins Theresa McGinn and her son Michael Mroz. Julie is survived by her loving husband Andrew; their children John (Karen) Ferren, Thomas Ferren, and Annie Ferren; brother Tom (Rita) Roberts, Sister Mary Kay (Phil) McGlauchlin; adored grandchildren Kale Scheffler, Logan Scheffler, Abby Ferren, and her dickens Campbell Ferren, along with nieces and nephews, Katie McGlauchlin, Mimi, McGlauchlin, Mikey McGlauchlin, Eddie McGlauchlin, Keke Roberts, and Danny Roberts and a host of cherished cousins.

A celebration of Julie's life is being planned, with the weekend of August 12th-14th, 2022, (8/12/22 would have been her 69th birthday); location/time forthcoming…
