Julie's obituary

Julie Marie Bosarge 68, of Olympia, WA, passed away on July 20, 2021 after a fierce twenty year battle with metastatic breast cancer. Julie was born on September 30th, 1952 to Denzil L. & Bonnie M. McKinney in Mountain Home, Idaho. After graduating from high school, she married Elbert Ellis Deaton III in 1971. Together they had two daughters, Paula R. Decicio and Jennifer C. Deaton.  Although the marriage dissolved, she pushed forward as a single Mom and attained her Bachelors Degree in Business Administration.  in 1980, she met her husband Wayne C Benson and they were married.  They welcomed their son Travis W Benson in October of1981.   She dedicated her life to being a supportive, loving and wonderful mother and grandmother. Julie excelled at propping up members of her family and supporting them through the many passions and difficulties of their lives. Whether that was through simply being there to help someone move, or teaching children in Sunday School she made it her mission to improve the lives of others. Julie was very talented and enjoyed sewing, knitting, crocheting, cooking, baking but most of all, being there to volunteer wherever she was needed.  Julie will be most remembered because she let Jesus live through her and it showed.  Her incredibly positive attitude, strength and peace flowed onto anyone she met, including strangers.  Julie Marie Bosarage was predeceased by Denzil L McKinney (father) Bonnie M. McKinney (mother).  She is survived by her four siblings, Donald McKinney, Steven McKinney, Linda Nusser and Theresa Rose. Children Paula R Decicio, Jennifer C Deaton and Travis W Benson.  Grandchildren Andrew D. Horton, Alexander C. Horton, Joseph C. Travis, Michael Benson and Kyle Benson. Great Grandchild, Jameson T. Horton.

The memorial service is to be held at New Community Church located in Maple Valley Washington on August 19, 2021 from 11am to 2pm.  The family requests that if you wish to give flowers, cards or notes to please bring them with you to the service.
