Julie's obituary

Julie Ann Montgomery, age 69, was called home to be with her Lord and Savior on November 20, 2025, passing peacefully at her home in Bellevue, Ohio, surrounded by the love of her family.

Born on May 7, 1956, in Norwalk, Ohio, Julie was the daughter of Hobert and Beatrice (Boose) Riggleman. She married the love of her life, Parker Montgomery, on July 14, 1990, in Bellevue, and together they built a home filled with love, devotion, laughter, and unwavering support for one another.

Julie worked for Fanny Farmer Candies in Norwalk, Ohio from 1974 until its closing in 1995. She later continued her career with Capital Aluminum & Glass in Bellevue, Ohio until retiring in 2014.

A lifelong caretaker, Julie’s greatest calling was caring for others. She was the person everyone relied on; the one who put the needs of others before her own without hesitation. Her kindness was quiet but powerful, shown in the meals she cooked, the gardens she tended, the gentle way she encouraged others, and the soft strength she carried through life. She was a member of Immaculate Conception Church in Bellevue and lived her faith through compassion, humility, and service.

Julie found joy in life’s simple, beautiful moments. She loved cooking for family and friends and often expressed her love through a warm meal or a homemade treat. She was an avid gardener who could make any flower flourish. She had a lifelong joy of reading and was rarely without a book in her hand. Above all, she treasured time with her family, especially making cookies with her grandchildren, a tradition filled with sweetness, laughter, and memories they will carry forever.

She is survived by her husband, Parker; her children: Kevin (Heather) Riggleman, Jacqueline Montgomery, Keith Montgomery, and her beloved grandchildren: Rebecca Levy, Bryce Montgomery, Kip Montgomery, Reagan Riggleman, and Quincy Riggleman.

Julie is also survived by her siblings: John (Kathy) Riggleman, Michael (Janet) Riggleman, Robert (Chris) Riggleman, Ellen Petee, and Kathy Kaman.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Hobert and Beatrice Riggleman; her brother, Mark Riggleman; and her sister, Maribel Brown.

Per Julie’s wishes, she will be cremated. There will be no public visitation or service. A celebration of her life will be held at a later date for family and friends, where memories will be shared, stories told, and her legacy of love honored.

Julie will be remembered for her generous heart, her steadfast devotion to her family, and the countless ways she made the world better simply by being in it.
