Julia's obituary

Julia "Kioo" Mmureithi, known to some as Kioo but preferred being called Julia, was born in the year of 1988. Julia, a woman of immense kindness, compassion, and a calm, understanding demeanor, left us too soon on the 7th of March, 2025. Her empathetic, patient, and soft-spoken approach to interactions will be profoundly missed by all who had the privilege of knowing her.

Julia was the beloved fiancée of Jeremy Hirsbrunner, sister of Joseph Mmureithi and John Kabwere, and dear sister of Elizabeth Rhone. She was predeceased by her brother, Dick Mureithi, and sister, Rose Mmureithi. Julia was also the cherished daughter of Mary Mmborothi. Her loss has left an irreplaceable void in the lives of her family and those close to her.

Julia embarked on her life's journey, starting elementary school in 1993. She was an attendee at the Church of LDS, where she found solace and spiritual sustenance. Among her favorite things in life was a simple cup of chai tea, a reflection of her ability to find joy and serenity in the small things.

Julia's kindness extended to her work life, where she reshaped workplace culture and elevated the patient experience. Her most significant achievement, engaging in meaningful conversations with numerous cancer patients, demonstrates her empathetic nature and ability to connect on a deeper level.

More than her accomplishments, Julia's life lessons, particularly the impact of kindness on personal connections, have been transformative for those around her. She firmly believed in the ability of kindness to create new opportunities for interaction and connection.

We have lost not just an individual, but also a guiding light who taught us to be kinder, more empathetic, and more understanding. Julia's legacy is defined not only by her influence on those around her but also by the enduring principles she instilled, along with the cherished traditions and unforgettable memories she created.

In lieu of flowers, a fund has been set up to help with Julia's funeral expenses. Contributions can be made at https://everloved.com/life-of…. Each contribution will be a testimony to Julia's life and her impact on the world around her.

Julia has left us physically, but her spirit, life lessons, and the legacy she leaves behind will continue to inspire us all. May her soul find eternal peace.
