Julia Kathryn “Kathy” Matye, beloved mother and Memaw, entered into eternal rest on October 11, 2022 at the age of 83 years. She was preceded in death by her parents James Wesley and Audrey Helen (Griffin) Sutton, Richard Martin Matye, son Randall Paul Matye, and grandson Brian Adam Matye. Survivors include: son Robert James Matye and wife, Connie; son Richard Lawrence Matye; son Russell Thomas Matye; daughter Julie Lynn Gilstrap and husband, Warren; and daughter Lisa Matye Finnie. She will be greatly missed by her grandchildren: Chrissy O’Donnal, Kevin Gilstrap, Robyn Cepeda, Robert Matye, Alan Matye, Paul Matye, John Matye, Matthew Finnie, and Mila Matye, and great-grandchildren Kali and Jayli Smith, Lyric O’Donnal, Veronica and Gabriella Matye, and Presley and Sloane Cepeda.
