Julia Aleida Guldris passed away peacefully on June 18, 2020. She had just turned 90. Born in Ceiba del Agua, Havana, Cuba on June 16, 1930. She was the eldest of three sibblings. She married Manuel Guldris on January 6, 1953 and lived together until he passed away on July 12, 2012. Survived by her three children, Pablo "Paul" Guldris, Aleidita "Aly" Guldris and Jacqueline "Jackie" Guldris. She left Cuba alone being 6 months pregnant with her youngest daughter to rejoin her husband and 2 other children that had arrived before her. The family set residence in Miami and have lived there since then. Everyone that knew her called her "Aleida". She loved the kitchen and started her small food business from her home. Then established a catering service where she was renowned for her delicious "Arroz Imperial" serving residents of Miami and Coral Gables and it's City Hall. Her food traveled all over the world since her clients would order large quantities to take on their vacations and special holidays and events. She fed many people throughout her life with her authentic and delicious Cuban food. She is survived by her 3 children, her beautiful 3 granddaughters, Jesselky "Jessi" Guldris, Danielle Lauren Guldris and Stephanie Lane Guldris and her niece Mercedes Basulto Hernandez and her nephew Alexander Hernandez all her adopted children that saw her as a second mother.
