It has taken me two days to digest the fact that my friend Juleen has actually passed. Juleen was the first person to approach me at a rendezous and invite me to meet her group of amazing pals which included Su with no E and Merrie Bell. Juleen's sense of humor caught my attention first thing. How she loved to laugh. Her love of family and friends was one of her most endearing qualities. I will miss you dear friend but I will never forget you. Rest in peace knowing we love you.

We are all here because of the same emotion. We are together, let’s be grateful. Let’s think about my Grandma, she is here with us forever.
Physically her body is resting but I know that her spirt is very much alive. A couple of days ago Aunt Amy and I were outside on the deck at Grandpa’s house. Amy was so excited to show me that this caterpillar on grandpas parsley plant had turned into a chrysalis overnight. I thought: funny how nature always has a mysterious way of putting things into perspective for us. You see, if you didn’t know what it was, it wouldn’t look like a caterpillar. This caterpillar can’t move, grow, eat — nothing that we can see. But what we don’t see is the beautiful transformation taking place on the inside.
My grandma is not gone! She is transforming into full spirt no longer bound to human experience. She is free! Together we have each other and together we allow her to spread her wings and fly. Be grateful for her, for her love, her kindness, and her embrace. I am! I love the way she always made us laugh and told us stories. She is a teacher and has taught us so many gifts and lessons. She had gifted us with pieces of herself inside each one of us. Let us enjoy this time to share and laugh as she wants us to do. My grandma is one bad ass woman! She raised beautiful babies, and grand-babies and great grand-babies too. She is smart and funny and a little sassy too. She wants us to talk about how cool she is! And all the amazing things she accomplished, all the stories she gifted us with. Grandma always inspired me to be creative and think out side the box. I remember driving with her and she never used the brake, we didn’t think she could do it. I remember endless cookies and lessons on how to bake the cookies . I remember singing and playing the piano every time we stayed the night. I remember belly laughs with all my cousins at grandma and grandpa’s house. She really is a special lady full of charisma, wit, talents, patience, and mostly love. We love you grandma Juleen! And we know you live through all of us! Let us celebrate her with stories, laughs, and songs together like we always do.
