You know when we moved to Colorado, I really missed you and Linda. You were always a positive force for me. And we had such fun too.

Do you remember how we used to get the giggles at every family wedding? Sometimes I think we were a big distraction for the others. But it was always good to laugh and to find something to laugh at. I always wanted to sit with you because I knew we would have a good time. And remember how uncle Bob always liked the young women to pay attention to him; weddings were the times when everyone got to see him.

Do you remember the summer of ‘65 when we took a trip to Milwaukee to see my friend and her family? And we were wearing cowboy hats. I had mine on and you were wearing Stephen’s. Some young men passed us on the highway and yelled “yee haw” at us.

And when I came to your little upstairs apartment for the afternoon and you washed your car with the water hose?

Do you remember when we used to go somewhere and if there was a lot of walking you would take off your shoes so you could almost run? Stephen used to scold you for that.

Do you remember when we had a shower at your house and Laura went around and emptied all the champagne punch cups left on the tables when we women were mingling?

Do you remember when Stephen didn’t recognize you in church and he said you looked too dark to be his sister? You hit him! Hee hee.

Do you remember what Stephen called you when you told him you assisted with proctoscopies? An a______ inspector.

Do you remember that beautiful navy blue dress with the sheer sleeves that you always looked so good in?

And your wedding to Joe when you looked so beautiful and happy?

And when we all went out to eat with my parents and Scott and Linda put sugar all over their steaks?

When I came to Illinois in the 80s and got to go with you for some private time, it was like the old times when I first knew you. I felt such a rapport with you. And our children were the same age.

I took a picture of you when you stayed with me in Aurora. I should send it to you.

I was so glad to see you when I came to Peoria to Melissa’s wedding. And Linda was so joyful.

Good memories.........
