Judy Lynn Woodmancy
October 20, 1953 – November 25, 2025
With a heart as big as the world, Judy Lynn Woodmancy passed away on November 25, 2025, at the age of 72. Born on October 20, 1953, in Huntington Park, California, Judy lived a life defined by love, generosity, and devotion to her family and friends. She was an extraordinary mother and woman who gave selflessly to so many, always offering warmth, compassion, and strength.
Judy was more than a mother to her own children — she was “Momma” to countless neighborhood kids, raising and guiding them with the same love and care she gave her family. Her home and her heart were always open, and she became a second mother to many who needed her.
She is survived by her sons Shane Rust (wife Pam, grandson Thayne) and Randy Rust (wife Nona); her daughter Patricia Rust (husband Chukwuma Oriseh); her beloved bonus son Huero (Ruben) Loya; and her goddaughter Becky Williams (wife Linda). Judy was blessed with 21 grandchildren and 19 great-grandchildren, each of whom brought her immense joy and pride.
A gifted artist, Judy expressed her creativity through painting and sewing, sharing her talents in countless ways. Yet her greatest joy came from spending time with her family and grandchildren, who were the light of her life. A woman of deep faith, Judy often spoke of her conversations with God, drawing strength and peace from her belief.
Her legacy is one of kindness, laughter, artistry, and unwavering love. She will be remembered for her generosity of spirit, her wisdom, and her ability to make everyone feel cared for. Her presence was a gift, and her memory will continue to inspire those who knew her.
Judy was preceded in death by her sister Tami Thomas, her son Shawn Rust, her husband Paul Woodmancy, and her parents Harvey and Marva Thomas.
