My Mom, Judy, was a fierce advocate for all. Her old Catholic Charities office right around the corner reminds me of the importance of giving.

Judy was always so special to us. My daughter became involved in the disabilities group that Judy headed. It was such a special thing. She was also confirmed through that program. Sam was her confirmation sponsor. I bet Judy was happy to see Sam again!

We use to go Christmas shopping for our SPRED friends. We made a whole day of it. We were like the mail people. No matter the weather we went
We would shop, have lunch, unload the car, get Christmas bags ready for our party
We were truly giddy by the end of our trip
So much fun

Judy and my mom were best friends.  They worked and traveled  to educate others about the SPRED program.   They enjoyed each other's company and educated the church on the importance of including special needs children in faith.  I watched Judy say goodbye to my mom two years ago after her passing.  It was tender and loving.  I hope she is hugging and laughing with my mom tonight in heaven.  Rest easy Judy.  Live your.
