Judy's obituary
Judy C. Schratwieser, born September 25, 1944, went home to be with the Lord on December 9, 2025. She lived a life marked by faith, kindness, and a deep love for her family and the many lives she touched.
She is survived by her loving husband, Robert Schratwieser; her two sons, Jason Schratwieser and his wife Diane Shuniya, and Jeremy Schratwieser and his wife Hollie Schratwieser; and her three treasured grandchildren, Wyatt, Eli, and Grace, who were the greatest joy of her life.
Judy spent many years working with elementary special needs students, a role that perfectly reflected her gentle heart and patient spirit. The children she worked with touched her life just as much as she touched theirs, leaving a lasting impact on countless families. She carried that love for them with her throughout her life.
Judy enjoyed playing and watching tennis for many years, but later happily traded her tennis racket for a seat on the sidelines cheering on her beloved grandchildren. Whether it was soccer games, school plays, church activities, or 4-H livestock shows, Judy was always there—encouraging, supporting, and celebrating every moment. Watching her grandchildren grow and being part of their lives brought her immeasurable joy, and they were truly the center of her world.
She was a wonderful example of courage, passion, and gentleness to everyone who knew her. Even during her battle with cancer in recent years, Judy never lost sight of the loving life Christ had blessed her with. Her faith remained strong, and she continued to live with gratitude, grace, and love for others.
Though she will be deeply missed, her family holds onto the promise of faith, looking forward to the day they will see her again and forever worship the Lord together.
Judy’s legacy of love, faith, and compassion will continue to live on in the hearts of her family and all who were blessed to know her—especially those who lovingly called her “Nana.” Her life was a blessing, her love was a gift, and her memory will forever be cherished.
