Judy's obituary

On June 15, 2025, our beloved mother, Judy Lynn Rodarte, RN, was called home to be with the Lord after a long battle with Ovarian Cancer. Judy lived a life rooted in faith, devoted to Christ, and guided by the teachings of the Holy Bible.

Judy was born to Charles and Shirley Oliver on February 17, 1960, in San Antonio, TX. Judy attended Southside High School, as well as San Antonio College and the Baptist Health System School of Health Professions, and graduated with a diploma in Nursing.

Judy Rodarte was a woman of unwavering belief, whose love for the Lord shone through every aspect of her life. Judy found joy in prayer, strength in scripture, and peace in the promises of eternal life. Judy shared her faith through kindness, compassion, and an unyielding trust in God’s plan. As a mother, she raised her children in the ways of the Lord, teaching them to love, to serve, and to trust in Him always. Judy found comfort in verses such as 2 Timothy 4:7—"I have fought the good fight, I have finished the race, I have kept the faith." John 14:1-4 —“Do not let your hearts be troubled. You believe in God; believe also in me. My Father’s house has many rooms; if that were not so, would I have told you that I am going there to prepare a place for you? And if I go and prepare a place for you, I will come back and take you to be with me so that you also may be where I am. You know the way to the place where I am going.”

Judy now rests in the arms of the Savior, free from pain and sorrow, rejoicing in the presence of the Almighty. Judy Lynn Rodarte is survived by her husband, Robert, and sons, Vincent, Christopher (wife, Demi), and Kevin. She is also survived by her mother, Shirley Oliver; sisters, Diane Oliver and Kathy Moore; and brother, Kenny Oliver, who will carry on her legacy of faith and love. While we grieve her passing, we find solace in the hope of Christ’s resurrection and the assurance that we will one day be reunited in God’s eternal kingdom. "If you declare with your mouth, 'Jesus is Lord,' and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved." – Romans 10:9

Family and friends are invited to pay their respects at a viewing on June 29th starting at 6:00 p.m. at Mission Park Funeral Chapels, Cherry Ridge. 3401 Cherry Ridge Dr, San Antonio, TX 78230. A celebration of her life will be held at Oak Hills Church-Crownridge Campus, 19595 IH 10 W, San Antonio, TX 78257, on June 30th at 10 am, where we will gather to honor her memory and rejoice in the promise of everlasting life. Following the service, interment will take place at Boerne Cemetery, located at 820 N. School St., Boerne, TX 78006. In place of flowers, the family requests that you consider donating to the American Cancer Society in memory of Judy.
