In lieu of flowers

Please consider a contribution to Dementia treatment and nursing tuition.

Background

In honor of Judy, the fearless way she lived her life and the battle she fought with dementia, our family is exploring the creation of a fund or charity in her name.

Her journey showed us how much earlier support, education, and access to resources can matter — especially around metabolic, lifestyle, and functional approaches that aren’t widely known or covered by insurance. We want to help other families who face a new dementia diagnosis understand the options, tools, and hope that exist, just as we wish someone had been able to do for us early on.

Judy’s life was defined not only by her strength, but by her compassion. In her 30s, with three children and a full-time job, she returned to school to pursue nursing, a calling she poured her heart into for decades. Caring for others was woven into everything she did. For that reason, we are also considering using this fund to support causes related to nursing and caregiving: providing tuition or living assistance for those following a similar path as she once did.

If you feel moved, donations made here will be set aside to build something meaningful in Judy’s memory.

Whatever shape this takes, it will honor the compassion, strength, and care she showed throughout her life.

Thank you for helping us celebrate her legacy.
