Judy Katherine May Kayse, beloved wife, mother, sister, and friend, passed away peacefully on Thursday, May 22, 2025, at the age of 82. Born on May 11, 1943, she was the second child of Bill and Hellen May. After attending East Texas Baptist College, Judy returned to Dallas, where she met and married the love of her life, Marvin R. Kayse. Judy is survived by her devoted husband, Marvin, her daughter, Laurel, and son-in-law, Karl Pointer.
A woman of deep faith, Judy was an active and faithful volunteer at First Baptist Church Dallas, where she lovingly decorated the historic main sanctuary for Christmas for many decades. Her passion for creativity and service extended to her role as a dedicated theater and journalism teacher at First Baptist Academy, where she inspired countless students.
Known for her wit, wisdom, spunk, and determination, Judy faced every challenge with resilience and grace. Her ability to meet life’s challenges with fortitude and gumption inspired all who knew her. Whether as a loving daughter, sister, wife, mother, aunt, or friend, Judy's kindness and generosity of spirit left an indelible mark on everyone she encountered.
A faithful servant of her Lord, Judy dedicated her life to others. Her legacy of faith, love, and service will continue to live on in the hearts of those who were blessed to know her. She quietly slipped from this life into her eternal life, leaving behind a lasting legacy of love, laughter, and devotion.
Judy will be deeply missed, but her memory will forever be cherished by all who had the privilege of knowing her.
