Judy's obituary
Judy Lawrence Hemmen, 61, of Bayou Vista, TX passed away in her sleep on October 2nd, 2022.
Judy was born on April 8, 1961 to George and Nancy Lawrence in Houston, TX. After graduating from Milby High School in 1979, she met and married her husband of 41 years, Frank Hemmen. They went on to have three children, Kristi, Frank, and Nancy, and raised them all in Longview, TX where they lived for over 20 years before moving back to the Houston area to be closer to family.
It was evident from the day Judy had Kristi, she decided to dedicate her life to being a fantastic and wonderful mother. Judy excelled at propping up and supporting members of her family through the many passions and difficulties of their lives. Whether that was supporting her mother or brother and sisters through tragic times or supporting her children, nieces and nephew's sporting activities, Judy made it her mission to improve the lives of others through her presence, and had a tremendous sense of pride in her family.
Judy was also a passionate grandmother and loved spending time near the water. When she wasn’t facetiming with her grandchildren, filling their day with warmth and kindness, she could be found relaxing in a chair on the beach in Galveston, TX. We will miss her greatly.
Judy was predeceased by her father George Lawrence and nephew Dillon Christian who she loved very much. She is survived by her Mother Nancy Lawrence, her husband Frank Hemmen, her brother Mark Lawrence, her sisters; Diane Hennen, Jill Hoff, and Joy Christian, and many nieces and nephews. She is also survived by her three children; Kristi Moseley, Frank Hemmen, and Nancy Carter, and her 6 grandchildren that she adored so much; Luke Joseph Hemmen, Audrey Jenelle Moseley, Harvey Matthew Moseley, Rhett David Hemmen, Lawrence Michael Moseley, and John William Carter.
