Judy Dianne Miller was born on January 1, 1949 to Dewey Major and Jewell Nancy Hanback Stults in Wayne County,TN. 

She departed this life on May 08, 2025, at her home in Summertown, TN surrounded by her family at the age of 76 years, 4 months and 7 days.

She is survived by her husband Tommy Bates, brother Jim Stults, son Jerry(Michelle) Bevis, daughter Charlotte Sturgis, stepdaughter Sherry Bates Russell, stepson Bobby(Kathy) Bates, grandchildren Ethan(Amber) Bevis, Mason(Dakota) Bevis, Andrew Sturgis, Josh(Annie) Sturgis, Brett and Caleb Mosley, Jessica(Matthew) Russell, and Ryan Russell and great grandchildren Matt Lewis, Logan Littrell, and Ava Bevis and a host of cousins, nephews, and nieces.  She was preceded in death by her parents, husband George Miller, son-in-law Roger Sturgis, brothers Ledford, Ellis, Ezell, and Jerry Stults and sisters, Vinnie Skaggs, Freda Joo, Sarah Ellen Holt, Pauline West and Syble Banks.

Judy did not want to have a service to be held so her family is respecting her wishes.
