Judy's obituary

Judy Gwyn (Land) Caradine passed away on February 5, 2024, in Abilene, Texas, at the age of 76. She was born on February 13, 1948, in Fort Worth, Texas.

She is survived by her brother, Benny Land; daughter-in-law, Gloria Caradine; grandchildren: Dallas Tippett Scheeler (husband Justin Scheeler), Christopher Caradine, Taylor Caradine Martinez (husband Domingo Martinez); great-grandchildren: Domingo, Olivia, Aiden, and Jaxon Martinez.

Judy was preceded in death by her father, Harold Land; mother, Jimmie Land; daughter, Shaan Caradine Tippett; and son, Patrick Caradine.

Judy had an incredible life full of family, friends and memories. She spent a great deal of time traveling the world, flying with American Airlines and Quantas as a flight attendant. Following her retirement, she relocated and would spend a decade working and residing in Houston. Throughout her time in Houston, she was able to be with Shaan during her cancer journey, build strong friendships and mourn the loss of Patrick with Shaan next to her. Judy had experienced a great deal of loss in her life, with losing both of her children in four years time. She would eventually relocate to Childress, Texas where she spent the final year of her life.

Judy would want to be remembered as a dear friend and loving sister, mother in law, grandmother, great grandmother and friend. She was ready to be with Jesus and her children, and will be deeply missed by those she left behind. What a glorious reunion she had on February 5th, 2024 as she crossed over into heaven, with her two children standing there waiting for her.
