Judith's obituary

Judith L. Henderson, 80, of Naperville, IL, passed away peacefully at home on December 30, 2025 in the presence of her family. 

Judy was born on March 30, 1945 to Estus "Joe" and Harriet Hocking Chamberlin in Olney, IL. After graduating from Danville High School, she went on to study Home Economics at the University of Illinois. She married her college sweetheart, Terry Henderson, in 1967, and later had 2 children, Holly (Mike) Hill and Melanie (Sean) Doherty. 

Judy loved spending time with her family and friends, and traveling to new places. She loved singing in the church choir and the Choral-aires singing group, and the creativity of cake decorating and jewelry-making. Her greatest love is Jesus Christ, and He has now brought her safely home. 

Judy loved family - her grandchildren: Julia (Michael) Sullivan, Sarah Hill, Lukas Doherty, and Shalyn Doherty; her siblings: Thomas Chamberlin and Denise (Chuck) Ligler; her brother-in-law Chuck (Liz) Henderson; her nephews and nieces:  Sarah (Travis) Curry, Lindsay (Josh) Ligler-Winters, Kate Ligler, Terri (Bob) Smith, Susan Clausen, Doug (Denise) Heise, Katie (Chris) Tabb, Sica Henderson, Joe (Jessie) Henderson, Rachel (Alphonse) Ngom, MaryKay Griffin, Wendy (Tom) Weber, and Heidi (BJ) Simpson. She loved special friends Jerry and Gloria Kennell and George and Verna Schindlbeck. She was preceded in death by her parents, her sister- and brother-in-law Jolane and Bill Jenkins, her brother-in-law Michael (Rita) Henderson, and her nephew Mickey Henderson.  

A Celebration of Life is planned for the spring.
