Judith Lynn Hartmann, 76, a lifelong resident of Matteson, IL passed away peacefully on May 29, 2018, after a courageous 2-year battle with cancer. She was born May 7, 1942 to Wesley and Kathryn Grosche who preceded her in death.

A 1960 graduate of Rich High School in Park Forest, IL she married William “Spanky” Hartmann on April 18, 1964, who passed away in 2005. She is survived by sons, Steven Hartmann (April) and Richard Hartmann (Jackye) and daughter, Lori Crabtree (Ryan). She has 9 loving grandchildren, Nathan, Sadie, Kayla, Trevor, Sarah Kay, Kyle, Natalie, Savanna and Keegan. Also surviving are brothers Charles Grosche (Doris) and James Grosche (Carol), sister Kathy Wilkens (Nick), brother-in-law Ronald Hartmann and sister-in-law Georgette DeRosa (Fred), along with many nieces and nephews.

She worked for 30 years as a mutuel clerk at the Chicagoland area racetracks. She loved traveling to Disney World with her grandchildren and cheering them on in their many sporting activities.

At the wishes of the deceased, Judy will be cremated and a celebration of life will be held at a later date.
