Judith's obituary

Judith Gail (nee Cast) Evans, age 88, of southwestern Ohio, passed away on August 8, 2024. Married to Ronald W. Evans for 24 years, she was mother to Loanna Lyn (Steven) McEndree, Michele Renee (Ted, deceased) Cais, and Stephen Paul (Mark John) Evans; grandmother to Ashley Nichole (Jeff) Carley and Austin Mark McEndree; and great-grandmother to Ava, Adalyn, Bryce, Joseph, James, and Jackson. She was preceded in death by her parents, Wilbur Lewis Cast and Anna Lois (Canter) Cast and her brother David Michael "Mike" Cast. She is survived by her sister Vickie Lynn (Cast) Giard.

Judy graduated with a nursing degree from Christ Hospital (Cincinnati) School of Nursing in 1957 and served at Greene Memorial Hospital (Xenia, Ohio), Miami Valley Hospital (Dayton, Ohio, where she trained in the burn-care unit), and Orlando Regional Medical Center (Orlando, Florida, where she helped organize the hospital's burn-care unit), as well as several long-term care facilities and other care-giving organizations, for more than 35 years. She worked in her spare time to satisfy her loves of reading and working jigsaw puzzles. Her children and grandchildren can still taste her meatloaf, her pot roast, and her old-style deviled eggs!

Interment will be held at a later date at the family plot in Centerville Cemetery, Lees Creek, Ohio.
