Judith's obituary
Judith Marie Frutiger, 78, passed away peacefully on September 20, 2024 at Rosewood Nursing Home in Schuylkill Haven, Pennsylvania. Born September 9, 1946 in Pottsville, Judi was a lifelong resident of Schuylkill Haven and member of St. Mark’s Brown’s Church.
Judi was a 1966 graduate of Schuylkill Haven Area High School and went on to pursue a career in nursing after receiving her LPN certification at Pottsville School of Nursing. She dedicated many years to working in the healthcare field including a long career at York Terrace. Eventually her career led her to a position at Dauphin County Prison where she worked third shift until her early retirement. She was known for her sarcasm, wit and strong will until the very end.
She is survived by her daughter, Kimberly Ann Chimokosky (Frutiger) of New Oxford, Pennsylvania; granddaughter, Brittany Jo Frutiger of Laureldale, Pennsylvania; and her lifetime friend and cousin, Sheron Phillips of Bethlehem, Pennsylvania. Judi was preceded in death by her parents, Edna Mae Donmoyer (Kemmerling) and Paul Richard Donmoyer; and her great-grandson, Nathan Richard Barthol.
Judi had a passion for everything true crime, murder mysteries of all kinds and was an avid jewelry collector, always appreciating the finer things.
A Celebration of Life will be planned for 2025.
