Judith's obituary

Judith Bigden DeMasi

April 17, 1943 – June 15, 2025

Judith "Judy" Bigden DeMasi, 82, of Bayville, New Jersey, passed away peacefully at home on June 15, 2025 surrounded by her family. A celebration of her life will be held on Saturday, June 28, 2025, from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. at the Crestwood Village Two Clubhouse, located at 470 Route 530, Whiting, NJ 08759.

Born in Elizabeth, New Jersey, to Frederick A. Bigden III and Margaret Reilly Bigden, Judy entered the workforce immediately after high school, starting her career as a secretary. Over the years, she and her beloved husband of 55 years, Bill, built and ran their own successful business. A tireless worker with a strong spirit, Judy continued working up until her passing. Judy lived with fierce independence and curiosity. She had a lifelong love of learning and embraced new experiences—from tennis and ballet to theater and interior design. Her work ethic, lively spirit, and fearless curiosity were an inspiration to everyone around her. She also worked hard to instill her love of learning and laughter in her family as well

Judy was a devoted wife, a loving mother and grandmother, a loyal sister, and a cherished friend. She is survived by her husband Bill “William N. DeMasi”; her children Billy DeMasi (Rachel), Christina Johnson (Craig), and Michael DeMasi (Norma); her grandchildren Fernando, Noah, Moxy, and Arya; and her siblings John Bigden, Fran Huyck, and David Bigden. Judy will be remembered for her fiery spirit, her unwavering loyalty, and her deep love for her family. Her laughter, strength, and wisdom touched the lives of all who knew her.

In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests that donations be made to the Visiting Nurse Association Health Group, whose care and compassion meant so much during this difficult time:
