Background
Judy loved animals! Horses, cats, and dogs were especially important to her life. She owned several horses at one time. She owned many cats through the years. And dogs were her most faithful friends.
Judy told us that when she was gone, she would like people to do something for animals, like "donate a bag of dog food." We researched animal charities and decided this one best encompassed her desire to see all animals live better lives, including getting dogs in need some food.
The Animal Welfare Institute have been awarded an A+ rating by CharityWatch and a "100" rating by Charity Navigator. They seek to achieve better treatment of animals everywhere: in the laboratory, on the farm, in commerce, at home, and in the wild. They have many, many programs working on all aspects of animal welfare. Contribute to Animal Welfare Institute
