Judith (Judy) Verna Bredfeldt, 81, of Kansas City, Missouri (formerly of Naperville, IL) passed away December 7, 2022 at Liberty Hospital. Private family graveside service was held on December 9, 2022. A celebration of life service will be held on April 29, 2023 at First Baptist Church in Kearny, MO.

She was born on March 7th, 1941 in Chicago, Illinois to Clifford and Marie Reichhold and was the oldest of three children including Curtis (Patricia) Reichhold and Thomas (Dawn) Reichhold

She graduated from Wheaton High School in 1958 and went on to complete nurses training at Norwegian American Hospital in Chicago, Illinois in 1961. Upon graduation Judy worked as a Registered Nurse at Cook County Hospital, Elmhurst College and several nursing homes in the area and later became the Director of Nursing and medical chart review.

In 1966, she married Harry John Bredfeldt, Jr. And together they had three children Jeannine, John and Jeff and resided in many locations around Dupage county for Harry’s work with the Dupage County Forest Preserve before settling in Naperville, IL. They relocated to Kansas City, MO in 2016 to live near the bulk of their grandchildren.

Judy was preceded in death by her parents Clifford Howard, Marie Laura Reichhold (Lemke) and her in-laws Harry John Sr and Jane Elizabeth Bredfeldt (Searle), Brother in law Robert George Bredfeldt and son John Howard Bredfeldt.

Judy is survived by her husband of 56 years Harry John Bredfeldt, Jr. Her daughter Jeannine (Paul) Johnson and grandsons; Luke (Jessica), Brad (Hadley) and Evan. Her Daughter-in-Law Debbie Bredfeldt (Cates) and granddaughters Elyse and Jenna and son Jeff Bredfeldt and granddaughters Elizabeth and Abigail.
