So saddened to note Judy's passing, and saddened too that busy lives in recent years have kept us on separate paths. I love the beautiful picture of teenage Judy on this page. I remember my Dad's love for his sister Edna, his friendship and respect for brother-in-law Harvey and his love for their three daughters. Uncle Harvey took me and my brother John ice fishing on Fox Lake one very cold day seventy years ago when I was Nine. Wonderful family, wonderful memories.
Judy was the first born of the "Awesome Threesome" daughters of my aunt Edna and uncle Harvey who lived nearby in our south Evanston neighborhood. They lived very near an old radio station. We visited occasionally - nothing but pleasant memories all around (though also fading for me, to be honest). So, though out of close touch for many years now, the family bonds and chords of memory are still strong. May she rest in eternal peace.
I have many fond memories of playing games with Aunt Judy at family get-togethers. I was honored as a kid to get to be her partner once for an intense round of Password - and still remember how delighted she was when I guessed the correct answer: "detective" from her clue of "sleuth." She enjoyed introducing us to new games - as well as playing old favorites. :)
I have many great memories of Judy. She had a great sense of humor and was one of the infamous “snort” sisters. She loved to play games and was a talented artist and seamstress making Halloween costumes and much more. She invented an ongoing story for her two younger sisters (the twins) called the innertube and the policeman. And saved the twins from an episode of “quicksand”. Many happy memories of the three of us going fishing with our Dad and so many more memories
