Judie's obituary

Judith “Judie” Levine Rosen

September 6, 1938 – October 17, 2025

Our beloved Judith “Judie” Levine Rosen passed away on October 17, 2025, leaving behind a legacy of love, laughter, and unforgettable memories. Born and raised in the Bronx, Judie’s bright spirit and determination were evident from a young age. She graduated early from James Monroe High School, completing three years of study in just a year and a half — a true reflection of her drive and brilliance.

In 1967, Judie followed her heart to Miami Beach, where she instantly fell in love with the energy, sunshine, and people and lived for almost six decades. For over thirty-five years, she built an extraordinary career in real estate, helping countless families and investors find their place in this vibrant city. Known affectionately as the Queen of Ocean Drive, Judie was a natural connector — her charm, wit, and genuine care for people made her a cornerstone of the community she adored. She proudly served as the First Lady of Miami Beach and was honored with the Legacy Award from the Master Brokers Forum for her remarkable career and contributions.

Judie was predeceased by her parents, Sol and Mary Levine; her husband of forty-two years, Former Mayor Harold Rosen; her stepson, Rocket Rosen and stepdaughter, Ellen Rosen-Smith.

She is survived by her son, Michael Hennings (Elizabeth); grandsons Spencer Hennings (Victoria), Joseph Hennings, and Kyle Malove. Her life was blessed beyond measure by the generosity and love from the very large “Rosen” family that stretched from Texas to Colorado. She always said they were the greatest gift she ever received from Harold. She is also deeply loved and missed by her brother, Jerry Levine (Jin); niece, Jennifer Blumberg (Eric); nephews, Jacob Levine (Nicole) and Joshua Levine (Jennifer); and her five great-nieces and nephews. She is also survived by Judi Malove (Harvey), who remained family always and shared an enduring bond of love.

Judie was the kind of person who lit up every room she entered. Her humor, style, strength, and warmth made her unforgettable. She loved deeply, lived fully, and left a beautiful mark on everyone blessed to know her.

Her memory will live on in the stories we share, the laughter she inspired, and the love she gave so freely.

In lieu of donations, please honor her memory by calling a loved one or visiting someone you've been thinking about.

A Celebration of Life will take place on Sunday, October 26th.
