Judie's obituary
Judie was an Ojai Valley Gun Club member for about 20 years. She loved to compete in our club events, Skeet, Trap, High-power Silhouettes, Short Range Silhouettes, Black Powder and NRA Handgun. Win or lose, she always had a smile on her face and was ready to give a hand to any fellow competitor. Judie was always at the front of the line to help the club whenever she could. She worked at the 7 gun shoots, the celebrity shoots, women on target, always worked to get the club ready for the Rendezvous to name few. Judie was a proud member of the "F TROOP" where she received her nickname "Judie 2 Beers".
In December of 2015, she was diagnosed with an incurable form of cancer. She put up a long, hard fight but on Sunday, August 19 with family at her side she finally lost her battle with the disease.
She is survived by her husband, Collin of 48 years, her children, Shawn and Ben, a son and daughter in law and 3 grandchildren. Per her wishes, there will be no service and she will be cremated. Please hold a warm place in your heart for this wonderful woman as her family does.
