Judd Edward Russell, age 52, of St. Robert, passed away on Sunday, June 4, 2023, at his home. He was born in Long Beach, CA on November 5, 1970, son of Donald Edward Russell and Gilda Darlene (Escalante) Reed. On April 4, 1992, in Fountain Hills, AZ, Judd was united in marriage to Jennifer Jean Johnson, who survives at the home.

Judd was employed as a salesman his entire career and loved visiting with people. He enjoyed golfing with his son and loved being a dad and papa. Judd was an avid outdoorsman who enjoyed sitting around a bonfire with his friends and was a Kansas City Chiefs fan. Judd was like a father figure to his son’s friends, who he thought of as extended family and always opened his home to them. He had a larger-than-life personality and was one of a kind. He enjoyed making others laugh, and never knew a stranger.

He is survived by his wife of 31 years, Jen Russell; son, Jordan (Brinna) Russell granddaughter, Parker Ray Russell; mother, Gilda D. Reed; father-in-law, Glenn Craig Johnson; brothers, Chad (Cass) Russell, Jared (Bailey) Reed, Charlie (Carrie), and Dwight; sisters, Katy (Ryan) Thurman, Gilda Ray (Caleb) Harris, Denise Russell, Cheryl Martelli, Cerise (Renato) Patron, Corynn Wittrock, and Michele Reed; sister-in-law, Louann (Rob) Young; and numerous nieces, nephews, family, and friends.

He was preceded in death by his father, Donald Russell; stepfather, Kenneth Ray Reed; and mother-in-law, Celeste Johnson.

A Celebration of Life will be held at a later date.

Arrangements are under the direction of Fancher-Rekus Funeral Home in Iberia.
